Birdline Central and Southern Queensland reported a Pectoral Sandpiper at Nathan Road Wetlands Reserve and I decided to try and find it.

The wetland is a great little spot and after a lot of searching, I eventually found the Pectoral Sandpiper. It was a long way off so the photos are not fantastic but the heavy barring with the sharp cutoff on the breast is easily seen.

There was mud on the bill and this was hiding signs of the yellow base which is diagnostic of this sandpiper. The bill is also longer than that of a Sharp-tailed Sandpiper.
